Petite genuine black tourmalinated quartz gemstones have been wire wrapped in Sterling Silver and dangle from handmade Sterling Silver hook ear wires. The Sterling Silver has been oxidized to a deep charcoal finish, then hand brushed and polished to bring out the shiny silver highlights. This creates an organic finish with depth and both matte & shine.

These tourmalinated quartz gemstones are quite unique. They are crystal quartz with needle-like inclusions of black tourmaline gemstone crystals (called schorl) intersecting throughout the quartz crystal. These particular gems used in making these earrings have excellent clarity and well-defined tourmaline needles, and are faceted for eye-catching light reflection and sparkle.
