Petite Handmade Rainbow Moonstone & Sterling Silver Necklace ·

A flashy, smooth & petite genuine rainbow moonstone gemstone is simply wire wrapped in sterling silver and suspended from a Sterling Silver chain. The ends of the chain are finished with two sterling silver faceted beads and a Sterling Silver spring ring clasp.

This focal rainbow moonstone has a semi-transparent white base color with beautiful natural schiller: iridescent flashes of blue, teal, and occasionally orange and yellow colors that change with the direction of light hitting the stone. The petite moonstone briolette is cut in a "pear" shape, and polished to a buttery smooth texture.

The sterling silver in this piece has been oxidized (antiqued) to a deep charcoal finish, then brushed and polished to bring out the silver highlights. This creates an organic, rustic finish with both shine and depth.

Moonstone is one of the birthstones for the month of June.
